New shearing machine for a great cut

May 2010 – After many years of faithful service, two old three-metre shearing machines have been replaced by a 30-ton machine designed specially for De Boer Staal. The new shearing machine can cut sheet steel up to 3 metres wide and 20 mm thick.

De Boer Staal's customers ask us to cut certified sheets, something that is particularly important in shipbuilding. There is also demand for customised sheets to be cut from remainder sheets that De Boer Staal receives from our suppliers. De Boer Staal supplies these customised sheets to a wide range of traders and construction companies in the Netherlands and internationally. De Boer Staal also cuts customised orders on the basis of specific customer requirements. This means that De Boer Staal can provide an appropriate solution for virtually every problem.

The new machine can cut shapes up to 3 m wide and 20 mm thick and it includes a conveyor belt and stacker to the rear so that cut sheets can be stacked neatly straightaway before being sent to the warehouse or to the final user.

The new machine will allow De Boer Staal to extend its cutting activities and to provide the right solution for every cutting order.
